2020 has been quite a year for the #SussexSquad. Despite all of the destruction Covid caused and attempts by the British Press to attack us, we still managed to pull off some monumental successes. The numerous times we were mentioned in the media is proof that the green-eyed monsters are watching. It’s a testament to Meghan, Harry, and Diana that they have inspired people from all walks of life to come together for one common cause: helping those most in need.
We raised over $100,000+ ourselves for the African charity Camfed which was matched with an additional donation from Meghan and Harry. Sussex Squad Club started a fundraiser for Tiny Tickers that as of writing this article has raised over £3700. Meghan’s patronage Smart Works expanded its services due to the success of the clothing line and increased support.
Here’s where we think the focus should be as 2021 slowly creeps in..
Keeping the momentum going.
We have a lot to look forward to this year, and while we won’t know (because there are no more leaks thank God) exactly what Harry and Meghan will be up to. We can make some educated guesses.
- The official launch of Archwell. The sign-up page for foundation went live some time ago, so we’re just waiting for the big reveal. It’s also likely we’ll see the launch of the Archwell Foundation Instagram page.
- Diana’s anniversary event. There has been no confirmation as to whether Harry or Meghan will attend, but the event is scheduled to go ahead, with covid restrictions permitting. At the very least, we can expect to see Harry.
- Some possible in-person events in the US. We don’t expect these until later on in the year, as the US tries to get its covid-situation under control, but as we’ve already seen our faves taking part in charity events.
- Possible announcements of new Netflix projects. They didn’t get $150million dollars for nothing! As covid restrictions may restrict or delay filming, we’re not expecting to see anything other than perhaps some project announcements and casting of production creatives.
Of course, with all the good things come the negative. 2021 is going to see at least two court cases for our faves. As we’ve always done, we should be ready to push back against the spin. Meghan’s copyright case (which should have been an open and shut case from the start) has been delayed for another 9 months, and should finally come to a close by the end of the year. Given that we now know other senior Royals were involved in helping Meghan write the letter that was leaked, we are predicting something shady will come to light when all of this is over.
Creating more pro-Sussex platforms and supporting the ones we already have.
If you’re thinking about starting a new platform to support Meghan and Harry, don’t be put off by the fact that there are already some going. The more, the merrier and here at the Sussex Squad Podcast, we’re happy to support anyone who supports our faves.
Also, make sure to like and share pro-Sussex content. It’s been noted a few times that some people spend more time sharing screen-shots and links from the gossip rags than content created by the Squad.
Focusing on leveling up
Could we have two more perfect role models than Meghan and Harry? They are literally the blue-print of how one should conduct themselves in life.
Harry for breaking the cycle of family dysfunction, owning his mistakes, acknowledging his privilege, and using it for good.
Meghan for showing what hard work, persistence, having a vision, and striving for excellence looks like.
We should be learning from their every move and trying to implement these acts and principles into our own lives. We win by rising above.

Focusing on what matters
Our communities matter, good causes matter, spreading positivity matters. We’ve proven just how powerful we are when we put our minds and hearts together. While we all came together because of Harry and Meghan, really, this is all bigger than Harry and Meghan. They’ve done incredible things without stepping a foot out of their homes, we can only imagine what wonderful things are to come.
