From child activist to global activist, actress, businesswoman, and now mother and wife, Meghan really has done it all. There is so much we can learn from Meghan, one article wouldn’t be enough, but we whittled it down to three primary lessons you can take note of as a start.
Read lots of books
We know that Meghan is an avid reader because of her blog ‘The Tig’ where she would often recommend books for her readers. We’ve actually created a section on the site where you can browse Meghan’s favourite read’s. Reading opens your mind to new ideas and can fill you with the knowledge you never got in school. You’re not longer a student in the classroom, but you must never stop being a student of life.
Education doesn’t stop after graduation. It’s a lifelong journey you must continue to dedicate yourself to. Meghan is known to love motivational authors like Brendon Burchard, social analysts like Noah Chomsky.
Get up early
Remember all those headlines about Meghan ‘firing off’ e-mails at 5:00 am in the morning. It really reveals the sour agenda of the British press that they would turn that positive into a negative. The taxpayers who fund the fortunes of the Royals have to get up early to go to their minimum wage jobs and feed their families, so why shouldn’t the royals get up early too. God forbid Meghan actually wanted to get some work done instead of spending 8 years coming up with 5 questions.
Getting up early allows you a small window of time to work while the rest of the world is sleeping. It gives you clarity of vision, a moment to be at peace with your thoughts. There have been several articles written in publications like Forbes, about CEO’s who wake up as early as 4 am to get the job done.
If it had been another member of the Royals, they would have been singing them praise. How many lightly-toned articles have we seen about other royals being ‘work-shy’, yet Meghan is scolded for being hard-working. The hypocrisy.
Don’t wait for opportunity – seek it
Taking inspired action is an incredibly important part of personal growth. You attract more to you by reaching out to what’s available. The opportunity will not come and find you while you’re sitting on Instagram, scrolling through other people’s #lifegoals.
Become your own version of #lifegoals by taking action and seeking an opportunity.
Show up to as many networking events in your industry as you can, reach out to players in your industry, and seek collaborations and mentorship. Apply for opportunities and positions that move you to the next level. Be as well-read and as knowledgeable in your field as possible. These are the things that plant seeds that grow into stems. Remember that your network is your net worth, and part of Meghan’s success is the power of her network and connections.
Aim for excellence
One of the biggest issues The Establishment had with Meghan was that she was just too excellent. She was educated to degree level, talented, entrepreneurial, already politically connected, and commanded a large following before she ever entered The Firm. Her excellence threatened to and has ultimately exposed their mediocracy. She got where she is by WORKING. They got the positions they have by being born or marrying into the Royals, oh yeah, and leaving their cousins for dead in order to take the throne.
British society runs on a class system that dictates that you should ‘stay in your lane’. People who are able to move up a rank or two are looked down upon as if wanting better for your life is something bad. What’s most interesting, is that it’s those who would benefit most from this class system disappearing, that continue to uphold it. Instead, what we’ve seen with Meghan is a chorus of jealous onlookers in the public sneering; “who does she think she is?”
Excellent is not what Meghan ‘thinks’ she is, it’s what she ‘actually’ is. If the sour grapes pursing their lips and clutching their pearls had any sense, they’d take notes!
Build Your Own Table

When you build your own table, you don’t have to ask for handouts from anyone else. Meghan, Harry, and Archie once he’s grown, will never have to ask for handouts from the institution, or the taxpayer ever again. They are truly free in a way the other Royals could only ever dream of.
Free to create their own destiny.
Free to forge their own path.
Free to make and spend their money as they please.
Free from answering to courtiers.
Meghan has been building her own table since the age of 9 where she wrote a strongly worded letter to Procter and Gamble to change the sexists narrative of a tv advertisement.
It just shows that it’s never too early to start.
