Vax Live Is Lit! This is the biggest win in May for the Sussexes’, a global event streamed worldwide to raise money for covid vaccination efforts, and it was a smash hit! With performances from J-lo and Selena Gomez, and appearances from world leaders US President Biden and Canadian President Justin Trudeau, it raised an enormous 300million dollars for covid relief funds, far exceeding the main goal. It was also incredibly heart-warming to see what an enthusiastic response Harry received from the California crowd. Point blank: they loved him. Harry maybe 6th in line to the British throne, but he’s a California King with a Montecito castle. This is not what the UK hate machine wanted.
Who can forget the cartoons portraying Harry and Meghan as bums begging for cash when they first announced they were stepping back as senior royals? So arrogant the UK hate machine was, they thought our faves would be reduced to dust. Instead, they’re leading global campaigns while the other Royals can barely make international news. Right-wing press in the US have attempted, but are largely failing, to get the Meghan hate campaign to grow legs. They have to convince Americans to act as if the 4th of July doesn’t exist for it to work, and it’s not working.
Is it safe to say The Firm’s worst nightmare has become a reality: Harry and Meghan have not only eclipsed them in popularity, but they’re also bigger than Diana. There were no social media in her time; there is now. The smear campaign looks more ridiculous with each headline because how can you claim Harry and Meghan are losing when everything they touch turns to gold. They are effectively the world’s biggest influencers now, and they have every major corporation begging to work with them.
There will be no milk ads in China.
Meghan also made an appearance at Vax Live via video; she spoke confidently about how the coronavirus pandemic has disproportionately affected women and girls. She was glowing and radiant in a red patterned dress and spoke with the confidence and eloquence we expected. This is Meghan while pregnant; imagine once the kids are in day-care, mama Sussex is not going to get off the hater’s necks.

Aside from the fact that no one wants to see his unkempt hair, the UK’s response to Covid has been pretty abysmal. We should also note that the ‘invisible contract’ Harry talked about in the Oprah interview also extends to British Politicians. You don’t become Prime Minister of the UK without bowing to Rupert Murdoch, and Murdoch, of course, owns most of the UK newspapers. So it’s yet another blow to the image of the UK that Johnson did not make an appearance, but his presence would have raised more eyebrows than his absence. It’s also interesting to note how much more subdued the UK tabloids were about the event. Were they given orders to stand down because other world leaders were involved? It wouldn’t be good for international relations if the British press to be attacking an event being headed by their allies.
